Since inception, Russell Group has focussed on designing and implementing underwriting risk management solutions for the specialty (re-) insurance market, having initially performed a pivotal role in the Lloyds Equitas project. We have grown steadily through the noughties integrating more analytics into our flagship product ALPS, from aggregate control, through stochastic deal pricing and into portfolio modelling and optimisation. Our growth has been achieved by blending the necessary innovative technology with expertise in financial mathematics to deliver open, integrated, robust and scaleable solutions.

Today we occupy a leading position within the specialty market, where our ALPS product continues to deliver valid and robust logic for the specialty classes, providing timely and consistent exposure information with in-built controls for efficient capital use and improved portfolio performance.

We have also gained the expertise and reputation necessary to lead the market. The specialty market is a complex, volatile and diverse field of risk, with differing needs which demand a different approach to delivery. This year sees the launch of ALPS Enterprise our group-wide solution for the specialty classes, which will continue to offer the same line of business functionality as currently, whilst also offering cross-class modelling such as cross-class clash analysis.
